This was yesterday at noon....it's still snowing(again) now.
Total of maybe 6-8, had some low temps too,
single digits and below freezing wind chills.
45°F and rain forecast for Saturday.

It was still -10F at ten AM..
by noon it was +10F and the sun really feels warm..
this morning I finished cleaning all the parts of the starter. hooked up the jumper cables and it works !! ta-daaaa !
tomorrow it all goes back together..
I am going to put the heater on the tractor this afternoon. throw a tart over it and it should be good to go when I get the starter installed.
Yeah, now watch, the first thing that will happen is that I will get the tractor stuck ..LOL

every time I buy a new battery, or water heater or clothes dryer, I say, didn't we just buy this about a year ago? and then Annie hands me the receipt from long ago.
well, my battery in Ollie tested out good.
I put the charger on and raised it up to 100% charged.
tested the starter. Good to go.
DD Barby called me after 3 PM. her appointment fell through so she said she could come out and we could get the starter back onto Ollie in no time.
All went like clockwork and we were finished before 4:3o.. the tranny was still frozen so I didn't start Ollie. but by tomorrow morning, all should be thawed out. then I might need a nudge to get Ollie out of the snow drift he is buried in
I hope your new battery does the trick for you, Cappy.
Why did you have to order one ? we have a zilliion of places to buy batteries around here.
the guy at FF told me that during our cold snap, battery sales went up 800%
they normally sell a lot of batteries..

My husband hates going shopping so he orders most stuff on Amazon. He does go grocery shopping once a week.

I am an in and out shopper. I know what I am looking for when I go in. I seldom pick up anything that I didn't go in for.
I like Amazon. have had good luck with it.
minus -10F this morning, I doubt that the tranny will be thawed. but it is supposed to get up to +30F today so there is a chance..
