If our weather stays like it is for the rest of the summer, it won't break my heart.
windows open, no AC, no blankets needed.
slight cool breeze.. what more can we ask for ?
have the battery charged up, going to go after a can of gas.
with the help of a 3 ton chain hoist, I think I can pull myself out.
none of my neighbors have stopped in to see if I need help, except one. all he had to offer was a 4WD pickup like mine, and mine didn't do it.. but at least he offered..
the guys with the giant tractors just drive on by.. sort of irks me as they are using a few of my acres for their soy beans and corn..
..jiminwisc......

yeah, I know I could ask, but they are busy and behind in their field work..
but it has been stuck just a few yards from the road in plain sight. for days..
they have used my land for free for many years
.I should think it would be worth at least one tow..
when they get stuck in the wet spot in my field, I cannot help them pull out a large 4WD tractor with 8 tires taller than a man. but I do go see what I can do, make a phone call for help or whatever..

I think its time to knock on doors. Yeah, they're running behind but they can take an hour to help you out. There's no shame in asking

And I bought a used coop, so I am going to be fixing it up.

Ripping out the interior nest boxes and adding exterior ones, replacing the perches, scraping out and painting the interior. I plan to add more windows as well.

the tractor battery is finally up tp 100% charge
I bought a battery clamp. just in case the old one won't tighten down. got 5 gallons of gas.
tomorrow is get the tractor started and pulled out day..
with a big tractor pulling, it would take only ten minutes..
the farmers are third generation already. those kids do not even know me.
DD wants more space for her hemp growing. I think I will let her have what she needs..

update,
got the battery back in the tractor.
looked in the fuel tank. looked like plenty of
gas, so I hit the starter. it started right up.
so the ground looked dryer, I got it in gear,
worked forward and backward until I got about 16 inches of slack and made a run for it.. a little bit of spinning and lots of brake work and I was out .. tadaaa!!!
Annie is hand weeding some of the corn. I keep checking on her and bringing her ice water..
she is about done ..

Awesome! Bet that was satisfying. Hydrate and a hat is good too.
