Helpful hints for building coops

thanks everyone,
Annie and both dreamed that Frankie came back.
the one who is going to miss her the most is Randy, our resident man that lives with us.
Frankie especially loved Randy.
This morning Randy asked if we were going to get another dog .. I told him, no.But there is still a chance that she is just ailing and hiding somewhere. she could come back..

after the rain it cleared up and is nice and sunny. now it is windy. feels real autumny ..
Frankie, the big white dog in my avatar, went missing yesterday..
She is quite old. Lately she has slowed down a lot.. We figure she snuck off and died.
I checked a couple of her favorite cool spots .
the one under the non running truck I cannot check because it is very low to the ground and we cannot see very far under it..
that is where the pups always ran to; to get away from us and hide..

we went into town this afternoon.
when we came home, I opened the kitchen door and guess who was standing there ?
yep. Randy said that Frankie was sitting on the deck at around 7 PM..
She wouldn't tell me where she had been.

Getting abattoir set up in the garage, Sunday is slaughter day!
The five 14 wo cockerels are getting cockier by the day.
Caught one going after a hen in the coop this morning,
stopped him cold with the hand hoe I use for scraping boards. HA!!
Their chaotic harassment may have something to do with low egg counts,
tho a couple birds are definitely molting already.

Art, we have a group home. we take care of people who cannot care completely for themselves.
We had Ken for almost 11 years. after he died Randy came to stay. He constantly talks about moving to Colorado, but I don't think it will ever happen. He has been here about
3 years..
Frankie does not seem to feel real good.
She went back under the truck this morning.
When the van came to pick Randy up, she didn't even bark..
One of her main delights in life is barking at company and delivery people.
