Helpful hints for building coops

shelf building has come to a screeching halt.
the long shanked screw driver bit fell out of the drill and I can't locate it , even with the magnet. I am off to Menard's for a boxful of them.

I hate it when I drop screws outside and can't find them thanks to leaves. And I loose the piece that tightens up my drill, ( chuck) even though I have wired it on and zip tied it. Eventually it breaks free and hides!

Good idea because anything I drop that is the only one I own will vanish into a pocket dimension and never seen again.

Is it too macabre to let him roam the area over the next week?
It is one of his favorite 'haunts'...the best deer turds are there.

I have drills that I don't need keys.
(keyless chucks) the only thing is if you reverse the drill, that is what loosens up the chuck if it rubs against something, this is what I did.
I was looking for a set of torque wrenches, when I stumbled upon my stash of torque bits. Now I don't have to go to Menard's .
I finished the second set of shelves after the Packers won their game today.
Art, macabre would be if the pup pushed the cart off of the hole and laid down in the hole..

Tonight I built the tunnel to connect the playhouse coop window to the chain link panel of the run, so they can get out there. Photos tomorrow.

That's a lovely spot Aart. No, not macabre at all. He doesn't know why you've been digging, it's just more interesting smells for him to sniff.

Looking forward to it. Sounds like a chook playpen what with play houses and tunnels!

Why I put the a cart over the hole, so nothing would stumble into it,
especially Rascal<shudders>.

He never went near it during the afternoon stroll....and he stayed inside while I was digging.

I went to the Bone & Joint clinic today.
I have to go back in a couple of weeks to schedule a hip replacement. just the left one.
the right one is not bothering me,,,,,,,yet.
I won't have it done until in 2020. Annie's has to heal up first. she is having hers done on the day before Thanksgiving.
She will do just about anything to get out of cooking..

The tunnel is on , and I stapled it to the chain link around the hole I made for the tunnel.


I also put flashing along the roof line, as there was a seam there that would leak.
