Cappy, I think you did the smart thing by getting young ones. they have no bad habits.
I was ''gifted'' a doe and her offspring doe , both adults. they were wild and not the least bit friendly. I kept them for a couple of months and sold them to a guy who wanted them..

having a billy is like having a bull.
If you can find someone with a billy, use theirs
After awhile your billy will not be useful for breeding his offspring, and then you will have to go looking for one.
Take my word for it, billys stink.
and you probably will need separate facilities for one.

We've discussed having a nanny goat for milk but the main reason we don't is the billy issue.

Boots, you don't need a billy. where ever you get the goat from likely knows somebody who knows somebody with a billy.
with the help of Annie, we got six rows of corn, one row of green beans and one row of yellow beans planted.
Now I could use some rain.I would need over 2oo feet of hose to get to the garden,
I have way more hose than that, but it is not stretched out. but I will stretch it out if I have to, I guess..
I set 3 spring teeth on the tool bar 30" apart and used the tractor to dig furrows for the rows. It worked like a charm. I never did that before..

That would be a good way to bring the rain!

Just did some mowing, noticed the wild black raspberries are fruiting.
Hoping we get some rain to plump those puppies up!

that's for sure. but I don;t need the rain quite that badly yer..
Annie checked our raspberries. they are budding out. the blackberries are blossoming.
bass ackwards ..
I have thorny black raspberries. very tasty but the thorns are worse than blackberries.
