Got up early today and greatly enjoyed a few cool hours of clothes, hot coffee, and cooking.
About to go give the chickens their ice blocks, might give some EL's today too, then start up the attic fan to change the air in the house.

Very sorry for your loss, Cap. Dementia is a cruel thief. Hope your hip feels better Jim. And that kind of constant heat would drive me insane Aart. The temperature has been low 70s to as low as 47 the other night. Kinda chilly just now (about 67) but I am not complaining, it makes doing anything at all outside far more pleasant. We'll probably go fishing again this afternoon, most of the tourists should be gone so we don't need to take masks.

Going to go get some oyster shell first though, since all our roosters started crowing at 8 weeks, maybe our pullets will be as precocious. I already have fake eggs in the nest boxes in the coop.

I got the two windows in the goat room caulked today. And the floor is done in the goat room. Started scraping one of the doors. Hope to sand it tomorrow. And tack hardware cloth on the remaining windows. The June bugs are so fat, they can't get through! Excited to see my goats again!

Is Wednesday goat day ? If they don't like their house, I will move in.
Brother Dave just dropped off two huge salmon filets. His son has a large boat on lake Michigan. (I think I mentioned that before)
anyhow, bro and sil went out and caught these salmon.. also caught a huge trout. He kept the trout for himself. Looks like I will be heating up the grill soon.
Aart, when you decide to replace the bearings, I have a name of a company that I ordered from..
