She was fine an hour later, and went to roost.

Hi all, another beautiful day in wisconsin.
this morning my pruning shears fell off of my lap and landed sharp end just behind my ankle.
I have a one inch long cut. It was fine for awhile.
Now it is beginning to hurt.
I have about four more tomatoes to stake. then all I have to do is water them every few days.
that half dead looking cherry tomato plant has produced 150 tomatoes so far. I have to take a picture of that plant..

What kind of cherry tomatoes? I've got two Sara's Galapagos tomatoes. They're tiny, but very tasty. Not as productive as some of the more modern breeds though.

I have no idea what kind it is. It was mixed in with some plants my daughter gave to me.
and she doesn't know either, because it was given to her..
THe tomatoes are about the size of those big black cherries that Annie buys..

I'm kind of a newbie to chicken keeping and have only a year and a half of it. I have seen this term several times "pop holes for the chickens" exactly what does that mean?

The pop door is the little, chicken-sized door that they go in and out of.

Here are my chicks in the pop door deciding if the big world is scary or interesting.

Called 'pop' doors because, I believe, when you open it in the morning that all come POPPING out.

Thank you...I don't always get to see the girls exit the POP door but it is interesting to see who comes out first and who WANTS OUT NOW ..it is an interesting dynamic to watch.

Annie's hip surgery yesterday, went well.
She called me at 7AM. sounded pretty chipper. having PT at 7:3oAM. can walk with a walker to the bathroom
Can come home on Saturday.
