Sorry to hear its so severe. Hopes your recovery surpasses all expectations.

So the good news is that the bad news isn't worse. :hmm

I'm sorry you and your family are not feeling well. I hope you get better quickly! I want you to enjoy your new chicks.

I was stringently warned at least 4-5 times that if my breathing got ANY worse I was to seek help immediately.

I saw the doctor. The good news is that it's not pneumonia.

The bad news is that I'm out of work for a week and on a bunch of meds.

The other good news is that the Easter Egg chicks that I hatched for the hatch-along (half of whom are Easter Eggers), seem to be happy in their brooder with dual heat sources for the ridiculous cold snap we're having for the next couple days.
Praying for swift healing

I was sweating today, just walking the 1/3 mile of the electric fence. and No, I'm not THAT out of shape. It was high 70s and about 99% relative humidity. You could hear the fence shorting to damp tree bark when the wind blew the branches close to the lines (slowly trimming it back with the loppers - neverending task for the next 6+ months...)

Normally it wouldn't make any difference when we ate. but DD2 had to go to work at 3PM. So I got up at 5AM to get things going to get it ready at noon for her.
Well, that is all behind us now. The whole meal was delicious. The best turkey I ever made. First time I ever brined one. It is the only way to go.
I can't feed the neck to the birds.
We got rid of all birds and animals two years ago. Then the dog had to be put down. All we have left are the wild cotton tails, deer and turkeys.
You don't have to buy expensive feed for the wild ones.

I went to a large swap on Saturday, sold another goat and 2 rabbits. Plus some 8 week old polish, and a few young chicks.
