Oh , i went to a swap today. Drove up the night before and stayed at my friend's place. Loads of work, because i took ceramics and animals both. Rented a trailer because no way all that was going to fit in my truck. ( though husband thought it would). I sold all 3 of the hens i took and around 5 roosters. None of my rabbits sold. But i did sell a goat and her baby, so that was a big win.
I stayed over night at my friend's house the night before. It was great to see her!

as long as you sold more than you bought,
it was a good trip.
just a few minutes ago we caught squirrel
number 14. each time I catch one, I think it
is the last one. soon it will get cold and then
trapping will be finished until spring.
at least there are none in the attic any more.

Do you use rat traps?

I tried rat traps. caught a couple that way.
one was caught by the hind quarters. I didn't like
that so I quit using those traps.
I had good luck with live traps.

we are allowed to release them on our own property.
there are lots of pine trees way over at the corner of
our ten acres.
I know they could drift back, but at least they are not
in the attic anymore.

No ceramics sold, but i sold a goat with her baby. So pleased, the people are very nice and i am sure they will take care of them.

about a year ago we put up all new soffit and facie
thought we had the trouble fixed. but now I suspect
they are climbing up the cedar siding and going in
through the gable end vent. I am not allowed to go
up a ladder. so I will have to find a volunteer to
go up and put some smaller hdwe cloth over the vent.
