I started building my coop a few days ago, and wanted to mention that it's entirely worth the extra cost to buy star/torx drive deck screws for the construction. This is the first time I've used them and they are sure a lot easier to drive into wood than phillip's head screws. Phillips bits can easily slip out of the screw heads, and the Torx bit grabs hold and doesn't let go. I've spent over $100 on screws, but they were worth the money.

She looks like me when I was in the final days with the babies over-due (all mine were late -- including the induction and the C-section).

Yes.

Though my DH swears by square heads as even better.

Torque bits are great. They down round off as easy as Phillips heads and the tips don't break off as easy either. They are superior in every way.

Sad news this morning 😢😭😭 one of my baby chicks passed. It was one of the ayam cemani and I think it was the one that was loud and kept trying to get under other bigger chicks. Breaks my heart 💔. I wish I could have done something, I always changed the bedding every day. I gave the electrolytes the day they came in and they have the medicated chick starter feed. I got them a 12x12 brooder plate thats digital so I know what temp they have and can be accurate. I made them a lil house to play in and give them some black fly larva too as a treat. I bought a bigger tub so they could have more room. Not sure what happened but I hope I figured it out. Don't want to lose another. Any ideas are welcome and thnx. Also I found him under the brooder if that helps and the brooder Temps are around 98
