I have dealt with repeated sinus infections over the years. The antibiotics the prescribe usually work but it always came back. A home remedy I discovered that may be of help to you is GSE in a neti pot. GSE is grapefruit seed extract, a natural antibiotic, and it works wonders when I get a sinus infection. A few flushes a day and it's gone within three.

Note to anyone who uses it: GSE is very potent so you only need to use a tiny drop in a neti pot. And of course DO NOT USE TAP WATER.

Maybe GSE would be useful to our chickens too?

Sounds like an interesting idea. I never feel good when I am taking antibiotics. Thanks!

The moving guys never showed up yesterday, so we had to unpack a bunch of boxes to find quilts, bedding, and medications. Then they were supposed to show up early this morning. Now the guy called and is saying around noon. Maybe I have time for a nap.

The guys showed up the following day, 4 hours after they said they would. Only took about 2 hours to get the furniture move out!

another start to another cold day. 26 below zero. it has warmed up to 15 below now.
thanks, Annie made it home ok. I don't ride along when the roads are bad. i want to die peacefully in bed in my sleep. lol
not much news from here.
i have to think about bottling the wine. i think i will put 4 gallons into 1 gallon jugs.

Coldest this year here has been 11 below, yesterday. Today it was 7 above at 3am and daybreak. 13 above now

cappy, i hope they take your furniture to the right place.
i worked for a small moving company when i was in high school. once we moved two homes in one day. they were 80 miles apart . the second move was to the first one we moved out.

We just had sleet and freezing rain, at this point the roads are mostly clear. They expect snow, up to 6 inches or so, on Saturday. Of course, that's just a best guess. Our furniture is all in the new house and we are settling in. I like the natural gas fireplace! We have electric baseboard heat.

I'm glad you're moved in, Cappy! I sure wouldn't want to be driving on roads after freezing rain, sleet, and 6" of snow. Stay safe!
