For those of you who live in or near NC, I highly recommend Wild Oats Organic Farm. I don't know if he ships chickens - I think he does not but that's a question for him if you're interested. I believe he does ship his organic feed.
W.O.O.F. is a certified organic farm owned and operated by Mike Adkins. He has certified Amaraucanas (which is what we got from him), RIRs, Buckeyes, and Wyandottes. He's a super-nice fellow and gives some fantastic perks to his customers (like access to his organic cherry trees). Mike does a fantastic job -- I'd say that his place is less a hobby farm and more of a passion. His chickens are very tame - he makes sure to interact with them from the time they're born. We can (and always have been able to) turn and hold our our now-juvenile Amaraucanas on their backs without struggle.
I thought the thread topic title read breeders also.................. All I see are a list of a bunch of hatcheries. hatcheries aren't breeders!!!!! by any stretch of the imagination, just sayin.
Please add us to the list. We only ship our chicks April through the first week of November and only have 8 breeds to offer, but we have strived to get quality birds and are proud of our Black Copper Maran and Blue/Black/Splash Jersey Giants. We have had a lot of good feedback on our chickens. Please check us out as a possibility when ordering.
