Helping a chick out of the shell.

Is there an issue with helping a chick out of the shell? If a chick is having trouble getting out of the shell do you help it hatch? I've never had to do this but have heard both sides of the issue. What do you think?

Give it a little time. The chick needs to build it's strength by getting out of the shell itself. Keep it in the incubator while it is working on getting out. After it struggles for a while, you may help it a little bit.

Before you do anything I would recommend you read this article( https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/step-by-step-guide-to-assisted-hatching.64660/ ). Normally the more a chick struggles getting out of an egg the stronger it is.
