Also, I really appreciate all the help. I’m trying to limit treats to a tablespoon per chick every day (should be less than 10 percent of what they eat) and only feeding healthy treats, eggs, oats, and some herbs. I’ll make her some egg and wet feed mash tomorrow. They eat about two tubes of feed each day, like the red and white tubes from tractor supply.
Personally I don't consider an egg to be a "treat" in the regular sense. Eggs are designed specifically to nourish chicks and promote rapid growth in the shell with all the nutrients they need including plenty of protein and fat. I give tiny chicks or ailing chickens lots of egg and never worry about it replacing their regular feed.
Pasta, rice, oatmeal, scratch etc... is more of a treat IMO.
