Hey all. I need some advice ASAP please. I have a 2yr old silkie that started this strange head thing last week. Instantly thought "Vitamin deficiency " brought her inside and started her on vitamins. Also treated for mites. Here we are a week later and no improvement, shes actually worse. Symptoms are
Watery stool
Constantly sleeping
Head dropping (almost like a tic)
Feather loss/breakage
Loss of appetite
Stands in one spot puffed up
Extremely quiet (shes usually very vocal)
I HAVE A VIDEO BUT DON'T KNOW HOW TO SHARE IT.

I am at a loss, I am losing sleep over this, she is my absolute favorite girl 😭.

Can you post the video to YouTube or somewhere and link back?
Has she laid recently, how do the poops look?
Unfortunately I don't even use YouTube and not the slightest idea how to post a vidoe. Only know how on Facebook 😭. She has not laid since being inside. Poop is watery, white/clear

You could upload one on the gallery here on BYC.

Then just post the link here

Good luck with your hen!

Kalmbach layer feed non-gmo, Veggies weekly, mealworms, black soldier fly larvae, black oil sunflower seeds, fruits occasionally (not alot due to sugar content)
Ok, how much larva and seeds does she get? How were you treating the vitamin deficiency? Any chance she could have found something moldy or toxic?
