Hen Acting Strange

Be sure that she is drinking water. Maybe dunk her beak into a little water dish. Can also mix some pellets/crumble with water, to make a mush. She may prefer that over dry.
Yeah I just got her to drink a bit of warm water. I’ll try the food thing now.

and pooped.
What an odd looking 'poop'.
Looks like it could be a part of a soft shelled egg?

Best to stick with a good chicken ration and plain fresh water.

When I have a bird acting 'off' I isolate bird in a wire cage within the coop for a day or two....so I can closely monitor their intake of food and water, crop function(checking at night and in morning before providing more feed), and their poops. Feel their abdomen, from below vent to between legs, for squishy or hard swelling. Check for external parasites or any other abnormalities.

Best to put crate right in coop or run so bird is still 'with' the flock.
I like to use a fold-able wire dog crate (24"L x 18"W x 21"H) with smaller mesh(1x2) on bottom of crate under tray.
Then you can put tray underneath crate to better observe droppings without it being stepped in. If smaller mesh is carefully installed, tray can still be used inside crate.

We put her in a dog crate in the garage just to rest now. She has apple cider vinegar water, and soft feed with a bit of crushed garlic. It’s pretty decent in temp in there. There’s a towel over the majority of it, and she has bedding. Her poop is more solid now, so she’s not egg bound. Doing better! I think she just had too much fruit or something.

Cut this stuff out......no need for it and it can cause problems.
So I did do this. When I went out to her she still seemed off. Kind of doing what she was doing out at the coop. Idk if she laid this morning or not.

Well, it's not going to be evident in a day...and they may not be the problem.
Isolate and observe bird for a few days and nights as I detailed above.

She seems to be better over all. Don’t think anything’s clogged. She still isn’t her normal self. I told my mom before reading this that we should do the espom salt bath just in case, and then keep her in her own separate cage. So she can have some peace and quiet and warmth, while we can also observe her.
