Hen attacked, by what, I don't know

Progress in just a few days. Can't wait until she is completely healed. Lots of new feathers coming in and looks like the big hole between the neck and the back is closing up well. :)

Update on LC. She is doing great. Had to stay in the house today and probably through Thursday b/c cold weather - @20 degrees. Rooster is keeping the flock in the run and coop so she wouldn't get visited anyway. She is not happy with me.

Her neck/back is healing nicely - we are pleased with the progress. :)

LC getting some much desired time outside today "with" the flock. She had to stay in for 3 days b/c of ~20 degree weather with windchills in the teens. Rooster kept the flock in the coop and run area. Her wound is healing really well, now just waiting for her to feather in so she can rejoin the flock. Rooster visits her lots during the day wondering why she is not listening to him to come out of the enclosure.

Wounds looking incredibly well.

She's looking good!
Nice job taking care of her:)

LOL Well, the rooster is going to have to wait, but it's good he's visiting her. He may help intervene in re-integration squabbles between hens which is a good thing.

Yes, he is pretty good at that. Helped with the girl with the broken soft egg re-integration and regularly intervenes when broody momma gets really ugly trying to re-establish her dominance within the group. Babies are almost 10 weeks old now and she is finally starting to distance herself from them although she still lets them hang with her. I think she likes having her own little flock for herself; yet, she wants to be high on the pecking order in Rooster's flock too. :)

Look at this girl healing. Neither of us can wait until she feathers out so she can go back to the flock!
