Fat would be my guess, but not certain. What are the white dots on the feathers?
You and your daughter are doing an amazing job! I think the yellow is fat. I recently had an avian vet note that my Buckeye had yellow skin. She said it could be breed specific, or it could be from fat. (Buckeyes have yellow skin, but thought it was worth sharing that the vet specifically said fat could cause yellow skin.) She also noted my girl is āwell insulated, like a seal.ā
