Hen Brutally attacked by Dog!!! Emergency!!!

Update: Both eyes are open and she's feeling much better. She no longer sits around, but instead walks around being noisy and making messes. I've taken her outside a couple times, and she scratches around and loves it, but I still haven't seen her eat. I may have to resort back to yogurt if she doesn't figure out how to eat with her new beak. Thankfully she was on the larger side and could afford to lose a little weight, but still. She'll peck at any food that I give her, but she just hits it with her bottom beak and then gives up. I've tried tempting her with worms, food, and today I even made her scrambled eggs with worms on top, but after a few tries she gave up. Any suggestions of what to do?
On the other hand, her back wound is healing. After a week I started using Vetericyn Wound Spray instead of Neosporin, and it's healing quickly. I'm going to order a couple chicken saddles/aprons so that she can hang out with the flock during the day too.
If there's anything else that I should be doing, please let me know!

That's truly wonderful news. You may have to hand feed her for a while yet while she adjusts to the missing upper beak. It may still be sore too. As has been mentioned, not too much yogurt as that can end up doing more harm than good. Have you tried making a warm mash with water and high protein chicken crumbles and putting it in your hand or on your finger for her?

Have you tried making a mash with her feed? Mix with water until it's like thick oatmeal and raise the dish up to chest or shoulder height so she can scoop with her lower beak.
You can put a little yogurt in if it gets her started. You may need to help her until she figures it out.

So glad to hear she is doing better, when I saw this post it broke my heart!

Thank you so much, everyone! I have tried mixing chick feed with water, but after a few halfhearted pecks at the food mix, she gives up. She still hasn't figured out that she can't just peck to eat her food anymore. She hasn't tried to scoop at all yet. I'm not sure how to get her to realize that she has to start scooping up her food.
