Hen cant walk

Hi everybody. So this same hen is walking, slowly gaining strength but is emaciated. Had her to my vet, not a chicken vet, and he couldn't give a B 12 shot because no muscle, all skin and bones. She has been wormed with wazine, treated for coccidia and lice, and been on Tylan powder. Up until yesterday was eating very well but seems to have lost her appetite. We give her Blue seal layer crumbles, vitamin and electrolites in her water and have been feeding scrambled eggs daily. We just went back to adv in water. Today wouldn't even eat eggs. She has mostly just water for poop. Thought that was due to drinking in hot weather but apparently not. She has been spitting up small amounts of water and today it got on my hand. It was very sour smelling. Her crop was small and as far as I can tell felt normal. No discharge from eyes or nose, no other obvious signs anything is wrong. HELP! PLEASE!

I am so sorry to hear.

Did you only worm with wazine or also with safe guard? Because wazine only kills roundworms. Did the vet test her poop for parasites?

I am really sorry to hear. it doesn't sound great :( Any chance you can force feed her some yogurt or wet cat food?

Hi. Brought home yogurt this am ( work nights) and mixed with scrambled egg and spinach. To my surprise she gobbled it right up. It was great. Her feet were ice cold though, and very pale. We are bringing her inside the house since the weather is changing.
As far as your question - yes only wazine. What does safeguard treat and how much should I give? Put it right in her beak? She must be dehydrated because her poop is pure water. Any thoughts about that? She does get electrolytes in water. Any suggestions are very welcome.
Thanks
Kathy

Well I treated again for lice before bringing Love in the house. Did not see any bugs. The nights are getting down in low 40's and expected to be in 30's in several days. Anyway, due to a crazy work schedule had to leave a stool sample in my car overnight till noon the next day before getting it to the vet. I know it may or may not be accurate but it showed up negative for worms. I still plan on treating but for what kind of worms? I have the cattle ivermectin and due to her very weakened state planned on maybe using 2 drops. Does that sound right? Pl ease advise. Thanks.

P.S.
Since starting yogurt her poops are close to normal. What does that mean?

Don't use Ivomectrian on a sick bird...it can cause her to crash. She is thin so needs to be kept warm with a heat lamp as her body can not generate enough heat. Try to keep her eating soft warm food..crops don't work well when they are so thin..so avoid crumbles etc until she gets stronger..use the scrambled egg, warm cheap canned dog food..liver in it is good...baby parrot feeding formula is what I use. Keep vitamins in her water...make sure she is drinking. Use puppy pads or paper towels instead of bedding..sick birds sometimes will eat it for some unknown reason. Try to keep her very hydrated as you are trying to keep her organs from shutting down. Weight gain is a slow process.

Hi. Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I didn't see it before doing the ivermectin. I only put two drops on her neck, I hope she will be ok. She wouldn't eat the dog food in the past but will try mixing with the yogurt. How often should I feed her? I will put the heat lamp on since the front room she is in doesn't get that warm. I gave her B12 vitamins in her food this am. How often should I give them? Thanks again for the help, Kathy

Thank you. Any suggestions of high calorie food I can add to help her? Wanted to mention she has lots of crop noises, sounds like our stomach growls. Been feeding as much as she can eat 3xand a day. Will increase. Are the noises a sign of anything?

Not sure of the noises... I use the parrot baby feeding formula...but baby food, buttermilk mixed in chick crumble mixed to a gruel.... Ummmm let me think..... Pretty much anything you can get into at this point.
