My state is free!!!!! Wow!. This is amazing because I have a group of girls just turning 4months.. And when my babies hit for months, I can have them done too.. I'm still kindda a newbie if you can't already tell :celebrate

Some testing can be done on live birds, for certain things.
Some times it takes a necropsy on a recently dead bird to find an answer.

Practicing strict biosecurity and not bringing home random birds goes a long way to prevent disease entering your flock.

I work at a veterinary hospital.. So if somthing is off, they ask me to bring in a poop sample. Thankfully nothing crazy has gone on. But I keep my girls on a lock down (they have a 1/4 Acer fenced in run in the forest for coverage and a mansion coop/run with roof and locking doors. I over care
