Hen doesn’t want baby

At a month old and laying eggs again, she's ready to be done raising them. Totally normal. Hens wean their chicks anywhere from 4-8 weeks. That doesn't make her a bad mom, especially if she was good with them to begin with.
she seems much happier now with her rooster, she’s able to run around and do whatever without having to protect kids, i’m caring for the little one so it’s okay & that’s good to know!

I like to let the hen and chicks integrate with the flock when the chicks are younger (starting at hatch or within the first week or so) so when she does wean them, they’re already accepted members of the flock. She’ll protect them as long as she has those broody hormones going.

unfortunately i didn’t have a chance to do that:( i had a previous incident where my big fighting roo attacked one of my cockerels when he was younger, i kept him alive for a month but eventually let go of him since it was likely he was never going to walk or stand on his own. Ever since then i’ve been afraid to let chicks near any of my other roos, i have 4 roos in total and 1 hen, expect i keep the 3 younger roos separated from her and my big roo, even when the 3 are in their cage my big roo will try his best to kill them so unfortunately letting them all roam at the same time is not an option, i incubated those 4 eggs hoping they would be ladies but we got roos :’) and other than that i used to a lot of cats so they didn’t get a chance to go out and roam and they killed the rest of her chicks so i got rid of most of them since they were just cats that lived outside and stayed for food but i’m left with 4 and waiting for the shelters to have space :)

You have to improve the male to female ratio if you don't want as many problems. If the hen keeps hatching males, either get rid of her or get different eggs and don't hatch hers anymore
i’m in the process of building all the roos some pens where they are able to run around and be with a lady, i’m getting hens as soon as those are done, and i’m planning on never hatching babies 👍🏼
