Hen hanging from leg

Make sure if she try's it you see what state her foot is in if it seems too painful for her discourage it if you walk in and she's roosting it means she wants to feel better and she may be getting better but still don't let her do it because she could injure her leg again if she roosts.

I put her in a better sling yesterday to keep her out of her poop. Today she got out. Her foot is swollen, and everything from the elbow to the foot is limp. She doesn't move it at all. So maybe there is a break there in the elbow.

She is up and moving a little bit. She can flex the toes and everything.... So I think that given a little time she'll be great.

So after 3 weeks of hanging around the house and yard I put her back in the run with the other chickens. There were two serious and one half-hearted attempt to peck her. She won all three and settled right in. I assumed there would be some trouble getting up into the coop and onto a roost, but when I went to close the cage just now, she was on the top roost. So I guess she's just super tough.
