Hello! I would really appreciate any help I could get.

Yesterday, I noticed that my little Sultan hen (Frenchie) had major drinking problems. Every time she took a sip, she immediately swung her head backwards onto her back. I had to hold her to prevent her from completely falling over! I read that this happens to geese/ducks often- but chickens? The only known cause it that the flock may have not had any water for a day because of it leaking out (we needed to screw the top on better). I read that when chickens go without water for a day and then drink too fast...this sort of thing can happen. Read this article if you are unaware of what I'm talking about: https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/gosling-backflips-over-when-drinking-water.202915/.

I'm really worried now because she has stopped trying to drink all together, and is just eating snow (constantly). It's obvious that she's thirsty- but I know that snow won't hydrate her well. What can I do? Thank you for any responses.

Snow can keep them hydrated.....as a back up.
You could also soak some feed, that will help keep her hydrated too.

They do tip their heads back when they drink.....
...but....
if her head is out of her control I might suspect a neurological problem.

soaking feed is a great idea. I will try to upload a video later today to show exactly what she does.
