hen has mouth wide open and no eating drinking very thin

my silverelace hen has had her mouth open for days she can close it but mostly its open she is fluffed up and squatting a bit her breast bone is sticking out no meat on or around it no food in her belly she tries to eat and drink but she cant any ideas

I would try feeding her with a syringe just to get something into her. You can make a mush with her regular feed and warm water and try to gently squirt it into her mouth with a large syringe (no needle). A picture would help, too.

She closes her mouth and is drinking and I assume eating or she would have died by now but she is still not doing well

Have you checked her for mites or lice. Have you wormed them. It sounds like something could be feeding off her and its making her thin and putting too much stress on her system.

I would also check for crop impaction. Feel her crop tonight to see if it's full and then check it in the morning to see if it is empty.
