Hen has one eye closed

Eggs are mostly what a fecal test will show, the adult worms usually remain in the intestines until there is an overload. Round worms are the most common. You may worm right along with the Tylan no problem.
So many options out there! A paste or topical would probably be the easiest. We put a dewormer in water before but I am adding the tylosin to the water. Thoughts?

You can put a wormer in the water with the Tylosin. Use a wormer that is most convenient for you. It won't interfere with the Tylosin.
So today was day 3 of the worming. I chose to do the 5 day low dose for no egg withdrawal. I've been checking and cleaning the poops as much as I can and I found a small dead adult roundworm this evening. Is my problem worse than I originally thought? All girls are acting, laying and behaving normal. But I thought I had read if you see an adult worm in their droppings that can be a sign of a worm overload. Maybe the dewormer is just starting to take effect?

If the worm load were heavy, you'd likely see more worms in the poop than just one, and it would cause a lot of stress for the hen. She would be acting very sick. It sounds like all of them are reacting just fine to the worming. Since you chose the slow worming method, that further helps to reduce the risk of stress and shock from a heavy worm load. Cudos for choosing the best way to worm!

Thank you 💜 it's nice to hear I've done something right after this cough we have been dealing with the last 4-5 months. I was hoping the gentle deworming would give their immune system a bit better chance of dealing with this cough for 2 of my girls. Unfortunately, the same two are still coughing though the one hens's eye is open more. 🤞🤞
