help Ive noticed my 1.5 yr old RIR has a swollen somewhat wet but yesterday and today the feathers habe been taken off (maybe some her but ive seen the others also pick at her) I think it may be egg bound but when i touched the swollen area it was soft not hard. i cleaned area and placed her in cage by herself and put some tiny pieces of a TUMs in there - she seems to be eating some of it and is drinking plenty of water. her coachla seems to be spasing and she had a tiny bit of stool came out. I dont really know what next to do or what to expect. i dont want her to suffer

If she's egg-bound, that isn't related to feather loss. I'd try giving her a whole calcium pill or getting more of those Tums down her via crushing them up in some type of treat she'd eat all of, or just wetting some feed/crumbles, and they'll gorge themselves on that.

For the feather loss, if they're pecking each other the most common cause of that is overcrowding or not enough protein. It could also be mites or lice.

A picture would be helpful if you could get one.
