Hen having trouble breathing

Hi guys yesterday when I was feeding my hens I kept hearing raspy breathing. It turns out my one year old hen was struggling to breathe. I figured she had just been running for food. However, today she was breathing heavily, again. I isolated her from the flock until I can treat her. Also, Im going to be out of town for the weekend. Any suggestions on what I could do?

Well, you did the right thing by isolating her. However, I never did experience these symptoms in my flock...and I hope I never do. Hopefully someone with more experience will chime in.

Thanks for responding. Hopefully somebody comes along with a suggestion because I would hate to lose yet another hen this week.

I checked on her yesterday and she was doing fine but today her breathing is raspy again and there was a a coating of dried saliva on the side of her beak.
