hen house size

I have convinced my husband to add a hen house to the garden shed he is building. 10' x 10" I'm thinking 4 hens, we are are a family of 4 and I bake often... How much inside space might the girls need?

4 ft per chicken inside. 16sqft for 4 birds, basicly a 4 by 4 coop.

Make it a LITTLE bigger, you know you willl want more than 4....
