hen is panting, but not avoiding sun or interested in water?

i had to separate my top hen from the flcok because she had done a number on the other ladies, and this is her first day out in the mini yard i put her in. i notice shes panting on and off but isn’t interested in water and isn’t aboiding the sun a whole lot. shes flapping and running around trying to get to the flock, could it just be panting from overexertion? tyia

edit: i checked for egg binding and theres nothing so its not that

Panting is a normal reaction to being hot. It's one way chickens get rid of excess heat. You will know if she's very hot if she holds her wings away from her body to allow air to circulate under her wing pits where there is maximum blood circulation.
