Hen jumping on my back. Is this normal?

I don't know if this is normal but this has never happened to me. So cute that your chicken does that. I had this baby rooster who liked climbing on shoulders though

I have a Speckled Sussex hen that likes to jump onto (and sometimes sit on) my back. Is this normal and should I keep letter her do it? I think of it as a way to bond.. but sometimes she does it when I don't expect!
My hen has done this at a younger age when she was tired. I could tell she found me safe and wanted to perch on my head for the night. So generally I think it’s just that they find you safe

I think it’s fine and just cute. They do it to me because they trust me and/or as a greeting. One evening silked EE jumped up on the back of my neck and started making a nest in my hair!! Of course it’s up to you if you like it or not.

in my experience it means they REALLY like you i say she is fine what is not fine is if she is doing it aggressively which means she would peck you and be rude i say its fine if its fine with you

she sat on my shoulder recently. i dont know what to think about that.

also. while rare, some of my other ladies jump on my back too. but only one time has one ever jumped onto my shoulder.
