Hen laid strange egg - only about an inch long

I call these my low cholesterol eggs and the in-laws fight over them.

5 WEEKS? Are you sure? She shouldn't be thinking of laying yet, not for another 3 months at least!

I'm sure. They're separated.

If that came from a 5 week old, you have a problem on your hands. Her reproductive organs are not functioning yet. It's impossible for her to lay an egg.

I'll be keeping a close eye on her for problems. There were only two same-age pullets in that pen at the time, so it's definitely one that age.

Here's the strange egg I found today.

This is the first weird egg she has laid, usually there perfect. Should I be worried?

How old is she again? My bird Cracker laid eggs like that when she wasnt feeling well. Numberous things can cause it.
