Hen layed a wrinkled egg... whats up with that?

This is the second time. It has a hard shell. We cracked open the first one and it was perfectly normal inside. Her name is Mouse, she's a BR, and is acting normal. Should I be worried? I'll post pics soon.

i get them sometimes, think someone on here once said something about calcium. seems like its not a big deal.

This is a flaw that happens sometimes. Sometimes the chickens system is out of wack or she is missing the correct amount of calcium in her diet.

Make sure she gets a good quality later pellet. Lots of fresh water and 24/7 access to crushed oyster shell.

Hopefully you will see a difference.

Wrinkled eggs usually have nothing to do with calcium. It can be the way her body made the shell, it can mean she's had a bout with infectious bronchitis, etc. Sometimes, it's just a glitch.
