My 1 year old hen started limping yesterday, it was very minor and I separated her from the rest. Today her limp has gotten worse, she is pretty much hoping on one leg now or laying down and not moving around much. I have no idea what caused this, the only thing I can think of is she may have sprained it trying to jump into the nesting boxes or from the rooster breeding her. I don’t see any injury to her leg, no swelling or bumble foot. She also is bald under her vent area, it probably doesn’t have anything to do with her leg but I thought I would mention it to see what that might be also. I really want to know what it might be and how to help her.
