Hen Losing Weight

Things are about the same. Only positive part in that is I think she'll survive long enough for me to contact the vet. Still giving fluids and baby bird food. She will eat other things on her own after we give her fluids or the feed but she will not take any water on her own at all.

All you can do is just support her. She's not any worse from yesterday. I also weigh mine to make sure she's staying at the same weight. It took a while for mine to drink on her own. So until I saw her do it by herself I just kept giving her water. When I took her to the vet they also gave her fluids under the skin to help keep her hydrated.

Still giving warm fluids. She has more fight in her this morning than the other day. Getting that tube in was much more difficult, but we got it. Will report back after I get a hold of a vet today.

Yes, it's not as thick as it was on Friday, but it's still there. I've been really careful pulling the tube out because whatever is going on with her lungs, I don't want to make worse. (and I don't want to drown her) I hear her wheeze still, but it's not non-stop like before. When she's resting it seems to settle a bit.
