Why oh why is my EE hen Lashawnda attacking/chasing away the other poor hens that just want to lay an egg in BOTH of the nesting boxes? There are eight hens and two nesting boxes, this is the first time I've seen this. Is she trying to go broody? If so, I'm not going to let her bc Michigan autumns are no fun for a little fluffy chick. She laid the first egg this morning, I took it out, and when another hen came by to try and lay an egg there she attacked her and then went running back and forth between the two boxes clucking like a madwoman. She's going to be next in line to go in the turkey room.
