My 16 week Buff is growing fast! She was sold as a pullet, but that tail has me worried. I live in town and can't have a roo. Would love opinions... no crow yet.

It's been awhile since I've had chickens at that age, but I would say that's a hen because I do have 6, 8 week old chicks and I can tell which one is the rooster because of its comb. I could be wrong.

I knew if I posted something I'd be wrong. :he What does hackle mean?
It's okay, the pointy feathers around the neck on roosters are hackle feathers, those right before the tail are saddle feathers. It does have a smaller comb for a rooster.
