Hen or roo?

I am not too familiar with the Welsummer breed specifications, but from the little I know they look like it. I couldn't tell you quality though. I do know when they lay, their eggs are a darker brown (not copper marans dark, but not light either) and typically have dark brown specks on them.

I do not know if your male is supposed to be pictured here, but none of those are roos. All are pullets. The male Welsummer will look very different from the pullets at this age!
Ok! Thank you very much. I guess Macklemore hatchery got something wrong! I did so want a rooster to crow for me.
Guess I'll have to order again to see if they get it right the next time? Thanks,

Lol, That's the opposite of what we are used to hearing! It's better than the other way around though!

Maybe wait until these are laying before you order another? Good Luck! At least you will be getting eggs while you wait for that music to your ears :lau
