Hen or Roo?

We recently purchased what we thought were 6 Golden Comet pullets but 3 look exactly alike and the other 3 look different but exactly alike!!! Do we have 3 Hens and 3 Roos?? TIA!!

I think it's a bit early to tell but things to look for are pointy tail feathers developing, bigger combs & wattles, thicker legs ~ all rooster traits. :) I think you might have two different breeds ~ or 2 different colours of a breed. Golden Comets is not a breed I know so I can't really help with that.

From what I understand about golden comets is that they’re a hybrid breed that don’t really have a standard look, so it’s possible they just have different looking parents. They’re also a sex linked breed, so if they were sold as pullets they're probably pullets. That being said, did you buy them as day olds? Did they all look the same when you got them?
