Hen? or Roo?

Looks kinda like my EE, and he's definitely a roo..

I would be extremely wary of this supposed 'rescue' organization. When I attempted to follow your link, my antivirus software flagged it as containing malicious software.

I also was concerned by the fact that they demand that you give them a hen as well. It sounds like they are scamming people out of breeding pairs, and profitting off of the free birds. I wouldn't be surprised if they even killed the roosters and took the hens. A real rescue organization would be knee-deep in rescued animals, and wouldn't have to ask for more.

The most they should be asking for is donations of food and bedding, and maybe coops.

I would post your rooster on Craigslist for free with a picture, and just be clear that he is to be re-homed, not eaten. I have had immense amounts of luck with that. In fact I have two roosters that I reared who live 30 minutes away from me on a nice farm. The lady who took them just sent me pictures of babies that one of my roos gave her through one of her hens.
