With a comb that red at 8 weeks, it's probably a cockerel.

I actually think it maybe a hen.... the feathering at the rump looks rounded rather than pointy. are you sure she is only 8 weeks old?

Where did you get them? I wonder if it's a black sex link cockerel mixed up with a bin of barred rocks. I don't know how likely that is to happen and don't know enough about what one would look like, but a quick search returned some results possibly looking like yours. Someone here with more chicken knowledge than I have will definitely be able to tell you with just a glance if it's a BSL cockerel.
