Hi all,
I am new to the chicken world and received 4 hens (or thought to be hens
from a good friend of ours for fresh eggs. I do live in a busy suburb that does not allow roosters. the hens are black stars, they are 14 weeks old and not laying yet. I did notice a few different color tail feathers on the two black hens no signs of any spurs yet which made me nervious. I am hoping they are hens not roosters. I have attached a few photos so hopefully someone can clarify that they are hens. I do know that black star hens sometimes get different colored feathers. However, if they are hens I don't know what I should do with them as our friend doesn't have room for another roo. Please help
