Hen or rooster

I'm thinking rooster from the saddle feathers Can someone help with this? Also, does anyone know what breed it would be? Thanks for your help!

I'm guessing some mutt rooster someone didn't want and just dumped him somewhere.

I was thinking that also. She said all of her neighbors roosters are accounted for. A rooster doesn't just pop up from nowhere.

I have 10 week old ISA browns and thinking this one is a Roo....thoughts?

Where did you get that bird from?.... Hatchery, private seller auction/swap?
If it is a true ISA brown (red sex link) from a hatchery then it could only be a pullet due to it's brown colour.... males would be mostly white. But that comb is very large for a 10 week pullet and those hackle feathers are starting to look pointed, so my guess would be that this is a second generation "ISA brown".... ie a bird that has been created by breeding an ISA brown hen to an ISA brown rooster, which means all bets are off as regards colour sexing and this is most likely a cockerel. The sex linkage to colour is a first generation characteristic only.
If it came from anywhere other than a hatchery it is almost certainly male.

We got them at Tractor Supply. The others have tiny combs and are smaller.

So, coming from TC... they could be anything. Plus, they have a bad tendancy to not keep track of what chick came out of which bin. So, you may be able to find any white chick with the white chicks, any reddish chick with the reddish chicks... etc.
