One way i can tell if it hen or rooster is that you grab its legs and slowly turn it up side down if it is a rooster than it will make a fuss if it is a hen than it will just let it self hang this won't hurt them but don't do this if it is under 1 week old.

This is a myth. MOST chickens will fuss if you turn them upside down, then most calm down when they can't get away. Some continue to fight--like my white Leghorn hens--but my big boy rooster just hangs there and waits for his fate.

Well this only works when their young like it always worked for me.

That young? Most likely a rooster then, sorry. That's a very red comb for such a young bird.
