Yes, that looks like a rooster.

That is absolutely a rooster. Cochins are slower to mature, but a crowing 5 month old bird is male. Plus the comb, the sex feathers, the stance, the leg thickness.....all say male.

OH yes, I just renamed him from "sunshine" to Sonny! I love his little crowing...just took some getting used to not calling them all my girls...Now it's good morning girls and then another good morning Sonny.LOL
