No not necessarily. Mites only come out at night to eat the birds. They hide during the day in the coop.
Blue Kote does not kill mites.
Permethrin will though.
It could just be that she is getting pecked but I would check for bugs too. Just to be sure.

Okay thanks a lot. I ordered some pinless peepers. I notice the vaseline gives her some comfort but it is messy. I have some mite powder which I have put away from their food and laying areas. In the corners.
