Hen Saddles

Do you make or have just a solid black saddle for my Australorps? I don't want crazy looking saddles just something simple.

Edit - Are they also waterproof?

We don't have solid black but the backs of our saddles are black, we can double that instead of with the cotton prints.

They are not waterproof, however. We do have the option for scotchgard though

Another question about the saddles, during the hot summer days will the saddles effect the birds by making them more warmer with these on there backs? I noticed these are really important during the summer when roosters go into heat and mate more.

They can. We do suggest that on extremely hot days that you take them off so they get a break during the hottest part of the day. For the most part, our girls keep theirs on 24/7.
