is this normal? All my other chickens are completely silent and don't take very long but my olive egger will sit in the nesting box and SCREAM she gets up and comes back several times during this
Is it normal for them to take this long / scream while laying?

Some birds are just noisy. I have one bird nicknamed Noisehole who will run in and out of the coop screaming (or better yet, will jump on the roost to scream much closer to my ears) when she wants to lay and anything disturbs her in the slightest.

With the way she's puffing up and the clucking, there might be a little bit of broody hormones in the works as well, but it could be just her own laying quirk.

I think I found out what she was growling at
Apparently one of the silkies likes that spot too

It's normal.
Like Rosemarythyme says, maybe a tidge broody.
I played the video a couple times wondering if I missed the screaming. This I would call a wee little croak 😅

You should have heard the screaming / incessant screeching when we tried Cream Legbars. Oh my goodness gracious it was enough to drive someone insane. I'm still not sure all my cookies cleared properly after we rehomed them.

I agree. This is broody behavior. How long has she been doing this? All her life or just in the last few days?
This is a video of her first time laying:
She's always acted weird but I've bever heard her scream? Maybe that silkie is just known for stealing her spot so she was warning her to stay back? I reached out and touched her and she didn't growl or bite
