Hen sitting on 12 week old silkie

Ok so i bought 2 12 week old silkies 4 weeks ago(1 died of mareks) so its only the 1 on her own she is usually well away from the bigger breeds and doesnt seem to go near them but tonight when i went to lock them in i couldnt find her but i could hear her after 20 mins looking i saw some white fluf coming out from under the light sussexs stomach i couldnt believe that the 16 week old silkie could fit under her has anyone any idea why shed do that !!!!

Still feels the need for protection, I guess. I've seen full grown chickens try to fit under the wings of another.
