Maybe she will stop laying, I am not sure, glad to know she made lovely eggs! In the beginning, if she starts egging again they will be a little bit disformed. She's an Easter egger. Always laid the most lovely peach colored eggs![]()
What was she on?Thanks, that helps. Yes she was on antibiotic last week, plus the vitamins in their water. She seems to feel totally fine which is great but the lack of laying 8 days later tells me something is still not quite right.
She's still happy and healthy but no signs of an egg. Thanks for checking in. I would love to do a survey to find out how common this is, can't figure out how though.Howdy! Just thought I would check on Ester! How is she doing!? Egging again?
She was on amoxicillin 2x daily 200mg for 5 days. What was she on?
How much and how often did you give it? Dose...how many days?
Did you weigh her?She was on amoxicillin 2x daily 200mg for 5 days.
Having an egg break inside of her is traumatic and may cause her to stop laying for weeks or longer. She's still happy and healthy but no signs of an egg. Thanks for checking in. I would love to do a survey to find out how common this is, can't figure out how though.
No respiratory illness, and their diet is 95% layer crumble with a little bit of fruit and veg scraps and mealworms (all of which I gave up when she started having shell quality issues).Having an egg break inside of her is traumatic and may cause her to stop laying for weeks or longer.
The unknown reason for that happening in the first place can cause her to stop laying for an unknown amount of time too.
Have you ever had a respiratory illness in the flock?
Do you feed treats, scratch, human food?
